Spicezee BureauMumbai, Feb 10: West just can’t seem to get enough of the spicy, saucy, glittery Bollywood. After Danny Boyle’s ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ set the cash registers ringing around the globe turning the debutantes into overnight globe totting sensations, Bollywood caught the fancy of Hollywood biggie Rob Cohen.
Cohen, the maker of big moolah churning flicks like ‘The Fast and the Furious’ and ‘The Mummy 3’, is gearing up to bring Hollywood’s big daddies like Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Indian stalwarts like Amitabh and Akshay Kumar in the same frame.
The film that is set to be a 300 crores magnum opus production by Firoz Nadiadwala, is tentatively titled as the ‘Jewel Of India’ and revolves around the famous ‘Kohinoor’ diamond.
What’s more is that the film will also boast of top notch Hollywood beauties like Monica Belluci, Eva Mendes and Cameron Diaz. Speaking to a news daily, Cohen said, "Though the cast is yet to be finalised, I have spoken to Amitabh and he has given me several interesting ideas."
When asked whether Amitabh, De Niro and Al Pacino will be seen in the same screen, the director said, "There might be shot of De Niro and Amitabh. But there is not enough money in the world to get all the three together."
The film is based on the story of a student, who discovers a document that leads him to believe that ‘Kohinoor’ diamond in the Tower of London is not real and that the real diamond is somewhere in India.
Now, don’t we all just wish that!
