Spicezee Bureau Mumbai, June 25: In a shocking disclosure, French cosmetic giant L’Oreal has been held guilty of racial discrimination in its hiring policy. According to the latest news, French High Court finds L’Oreal guilty of racism based on its hiring policy.
According to the verdict, L’Oreal is found guilty of advertising its primary products endorsed only by white women.
Incidentally, the judgment comes as a significant blow to the world’s biggest cosmetic giant, whose lavish advertisement campaigns include global stars like Claudia Schiffer, Eva Longoria, Andie MacDowell and Eva Longoria. In India, Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor are the faces of L’Oreal.
Last year, L’Oreal drew flak for lightening Beyonce Knowles’s skin tone for an advertisement.
