Mumbai, July 03: With Abhishek Bachchan just giving a go ahead to Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’, where he will be seen portraying daddy’s famous character ‘Vijay Dinanath Chauhan’, things seem to have become easier for other actors interested in the project too.
According to reports, Abhishek’s good buddy Riteish Deshmukh has been signed by KJo to play the likeable Krishnan Iyer MA (played by Mithun Chakraborty in the original).

“Riteish Deshmukh is more or less finalised to play the part made famous by Mithun Chakraborty in the Agneepath remake which Karan Johar intends to produce under his banner. After Hrithik has not shown much keen interest in playing the gangster Vijay Dinanath Chavan in the film, chances are Abhishek Bachchan will step in to play the role which was originally played by his father Amitabh Bachchan. Both Riteish and Abhishek share great chemistry which was evident in Bluffmaster and one just hopes the same magic is recreated,” says a source.

Let’s see if Riteish will be able to do justice to the character, for the stakes are surely high and so are the expectations, as the illustrious Mithun had won a Filmfare Award in the Best Supporting Actor category for the same.
