Akshay to romance Sonam in ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’ sequel

Mumbai: Bollywood superhit ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’ is set to return as a sequel, but with a new lead couple. Reports reveal that none other than Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor will be essaying the role of Sid and Trisha, played by Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat respectively in the original.According to producer Pritish Nandy, "Akshay Kumar was the first and only choice for the sequel. He has that roguish charm to take Sid`s role further."

If reports are to be believed, Akshay loved the script and has already agreed to work on the film. "Akshay is as integral to this project as RD Burman was to Jhankar Beats," Nandy was quoted by a news daily as saying.

However, Sonam’s presence has still not been confirmed for the film, but Mallika has reportedly declined the offer.
