London: Rapper 50 Cent has delayed the release of his music album as he doesn`t want to compete with his contemporary Eminem.
The rapper has pushed back the release of `Before I Self Destruct` as the thought it made "good sense" to wait until the `Real Slim Shady` star made his comeback before he brought out his own songs, Contactmusic reported.

"I was limited with time on my other projects, and this one, just because the system was in a state of confusion with things changing, the music business itself changed, it was definitely a time where I felt like I was ready and it wasn`t a possibility for me to release the record at that point," the 34-year-old hip-hop star said.

The `In da Club` hitmaker and actor whose song Wanksta` featured in the soundtrack of Eminem`s debut film `8 Mile` wants his counterpart`s record to hit the charts before
him.

"And then the Eminem train came running down the track and I had to get out the way to let Eminem`s record go out. Because he had been off for two years, it made good sense
for to let him go out first," he added.
