When the Anurag Kashyap-film was screened before the who’s who of world cinema, Matt Damon spied a potential talent in Deol.

The ‘Bourne Identity’ star walked upto Abhay and congratulated him for his brilliant performance in the film, a source revealed.

The actor is naturally in high spirits about the appreciation. As his roles reveal, his aspirations are a little different from the regular Bollywood superstars who target the BO.

The latest in his life is the role of a speaker at TED’s (Technology, Entertainment, Design) first Asia conference that’s happening in Mysore. He is there along with Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.
