Why did Katrina Kaif offer Rs 15 lakhs to Prakash Jha?

Mumbai: In a one-of-its-kind incident, actress Katrina Kaif offered Rs 15 lakhs to director Prakash Jha to compensate for wasting a day’s shoot while working for ‘Rajneeti’. The beautiful actress presented a unique example of commitment and professionalism when her inability to deliver dialogues in Hindi stalled the shoot. Apologetic over the incident, the actress offered cash to the director to compensate in whatever way she could.
Sources reveal that on one particular day while shooting in Bhopal, Katrina couldn’t learn her lengthy dialogues and felt that she needed extra time for preparation. So, she went up to Prakash Jha and asked for some more time.

She also volunteered to pay him the day’s shooting expenses as the expensive set-up was headed by Nana Patekar, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee, Randhir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. Prakash Jha was tongue-tied at the gesture.

Jha confirmed the news sating, “It was a truly professional gesture and I’m very touched,” he said.

However, the director politely refused the offer and gave his actress one extra day she needed. The next day, Kat surprised everyone by giving a superb performance. No wonder the lady is reigning supreme!
