Jetix to be renamed Disney XD

New Delhi: Disney Television International India will rename the kids` channel Jetix as Disney XD and the change will go into effect on Children`s Day Nov 14.
"Disney XD will continue the successes of Jetix by taking boy-focused, girl-inclusive entertainment to the next level," Natasha Malhotra, vice-president and general manager of Walt Disney Television International India, said in a statement Thursday.
"Disney XD will feature characters and stories in a wide range of formats," she added.
This is the third time the channel`s name is being changed - it was first called Toon Disney. Also debuting with the new brand is its online destination - www.disneyxd.in
