Nelly Furtado blasts Madonna`s young act
London: Pop singer Nelly Furtado is not scared of growing old and thinks that pop star Madonna should also act her age, instead of striving hard to look young.The 30-year-old singer insists that she would not try to look younger than she is in order to boost her career and would rather enjoy tea and biscuits than undertake a grueling exercise regime, Contactmusic reported.

"Unlike Madonna, I wouldn`t be willing to do Pilates round the clock, just to slow down the deterioration of my body. I prefer to sit in the kitchen, drink tea and eat biscuits," said Furtado.

The `Promiscuous` singer is also not worried that growing old might have an adverse impact on her singing career and is ready to take it in her stride.

"I am not ready to adjust physically, just to be marketable. My sell-by date will run out eventually," she said.

Furtado is married to sound engineer Demacio Castellon and has a six-year-old daughter, Nevis, from a previous relationship.
