Spicezee Bureau Mumbai: Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan is quite gloomy these days as the ace actor was recently denied the permission to interact with a student gathering at one of Delhi’s prestigious colleges – Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) courtesy, security scare!
According to the latest Bollywood news, it is believed that the actor planned to meet a strong gathering of thirty thousand students from fourteen colleges at SRCC today. Things were going really fine until the last hour when the Delhi Administration referred a security scare and denied Aamir the permission to address the students gathering. Incidentally, Aamir was at the capital to promote his upcoming flick ‘3 Idiots’ while unveiling its latest song and other theatrical promotions for the same.
Aamir is quite disappointed for not being able to meet the students where he was looking forward to eat canteen food along with his fellow guests on Wednesday morning. However, the actor even made personal calls to the respective authorities in the State Government, pleading them to reconsider their decision.
Till yesterday night, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s production was frantically trying to locate an alternate venue for the students-media interaction while checking out various five star hotels in Delhi.
Talking to a news daily, Aamir confirmed the news and said, “I am sad that I couldn`t meet the students at their campus. I didn`t want to have the event at a five-star hotel. It goes against the character of the film. In fact, it is just what I didn`t want.”
As per sources, this is the second time when the maverick actor has been denied the permission to interact with students in a college campus (earlier being ‘Rang De Basanti’ and this time around ‘3 Idiots’). According to a close source, “This is the second time that Aamir has been denied permission to host a student gathering at a college campus and he was really upset by the turn of events last evening.”
