Spicezee BureauMumbai: Priyanka Chopra is on cloud nine, and the stunner has every reason to say cheers, as she has bagged the 56th National Award in the Best Actress category for her much-acclaimed act in ‘Fashion’. Elated over winning the prestigious award, the stunner, in an exclusive chat with Spicezee, said, “I can’t believe I have won the award. This is the biggest honour for any actor. I feel blessed to have won this at such a young age in my life.”
Talking about ‘Fashion’, the film behind her mind-boggling success, Priyanka said, “I was unsure about ‘Fashion’. Madhur had to coax me into doing the film. He has promised me that the film will be a hit and look what all it has achieved?”
So will we have Priyanka work with the famous taskmaster again?
“Of course I will work with Madhur again. He is more of a friend than a director. I owe this film to him.”
As for her co-star Kangna Ranaut, who has bagged the Best Supporting Award for her act in the film, Priyanka said,” I am going to give a big hug to Kangna. My role would not have been as effective without her performance in the film. I would have not been Meghna Mathur without you! You deserve it.”
