Titled ‘Gaia - A Revelation’, the look of designer Ashmita Marwa’s collection was Bohemian luxe. Working around long lean silhouettes in cotton, linen and mull; the creations had an inspiration of Turkish styling, with touches of Indian tradition. Splashed with kalamkari, the colours were reminiscent of vibrant Turkish markets where red, mustard, yellow, olive and earth tones blended with ivory, beige and tea for stylish day wear garments that will give the wearer great freedom in fashion.

The interesting hip belts with attached side pockets were an ideal accessory used with jumpsuits, skirts and dresses while the kalamkari print appeared occasionally on yokes, pockets, bibs and dresses. The crinkled fabrics, at times crushed carefully for asymmetric tunics and skirts added to the summer silhouettes.

Ruchi Mehta’s ‘Salt label’ brought style and substance with her feminine creations. Shaded dresses and kurtas along with delicate cutwork for multi panel pastel bubble tunics. The colours were muted with brown, dusty pink, brown, grey, sand, silver, mauve, beige and a hint of black for chiffon, and silk which played with layers to make elegant drop waist dresses or tunics with simple silhouettes. Embroidery was in silk with pebble and palm motifs.

Fashionable graphic craft range by Sudhir & Tapash for their ‘Stae’ label took the audience through a great mix of Indo-western styling for saris. The line called ‘The Journey’ from the designer duo, dresses all in simple clean silhouettes. Inspired by the lovely ancient craft of Pipli the paneled garments with graphic touches were beautifully portrayed for summer wear. Colour was a muted serene story that added to the elegance of the creations.

Adding glamour to the creations of designer Narendra Kumar, Priyanka Chopra sizzled on the ramp along with 'Fashion' stars Kangana Ranaut and Mughdha Godse.
